Goodness, Truth, Beauty & Holiness

Education begins in the family, and ends in the Trinity. Praise (of beauty), service (of goodness), and contemplation (of truth) are essential to the full expression of our humanity. The cosmos is liturgical by its very nature.
— Beauty for Truth's Sake, Stratford Caldecott

Education is more than mere information - it is formation. At St. Anselm’s we will teach pupils to orient their studies towards what is transcendent and not just what is useful; towards what is Good, True, Beautiful & Holy.

We believe that character is formed by Goodness, freedom is found in Truth, wonder is cultivated by Beauty and we are called to be Holy.

To this end we want our pupils to seek to learn not just because it enables them to get qualifications and a job, but because they can be helped to be noble, free and in awe of their Creator through their studies.
